A Bit About Us
Asheville Potters is a small pottery co-op built around sharing our love of pottery and ceramics. We hope you find as much joy as we do in the work we create.
Julia loves functional ceramic forms, bold contrasts, and experimenting with surface design. She’s trained at studios and craft schools across the U.S. and Italy and has learned from many well‑known ceramic artists.
She’s also a lifelong teacher — from high school classrooms to yoga studios to the fire service and now pottery. She brings a mix of patience, clarity, and humor into the clay studio, and her classes are especially welcoming for beginners.
Ian is a longtime potter who creates both functional ware and larger decorative and artistic work. Drawing on both modern and traditional forms.
